Our primary focus is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara's Santa Maria Valley, a region long renowned for Burgundian varietals. Santa Maria Valley's unique soil, paired with the cooling influence of the sea, provides the ideal growing conditions for these wines. Our Santa Barbara wines come from some of the region's most acclaimed vineyards, among them, Sierra Madre, Bien Nacido, Solomon Hills, Garey Ranch, and the historic Nielsen Vineyard.
Ken has a longstanding interest in and affinity for Bordeaux varieties from Paso Robles. We're currently producing Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the westernmost locations of the region, in an area that we think is among the best California has to offer for these wines. We also produce small amounts of heirloom wines from unique vineyard sites from throughout California's Central Coast.
